Work Anywhere Maturity Model
We created a model to help organizations understand where they’re at on the work from anywhere spectrum and what the path forward looks like.
1. The Good Old Days
People go into the office and you fire up video when you needed to. We're in an office so we know how to work.
2. Pandemic Mode
We’re in the general mindset of waiting for everything to go ‘back to normal’. We're looking forward to that. But what that means is that today the calendar is full of video meetings during the day and all the real work happens early and late. And we'll throw a couple happy hours at the problem and everybody will be good.
3. Reality Sets In
The world has changed. This group starts being more intentional with things like establishing social norms (how do we work together and communicate virtually — things like don’t send a text message every 2 minutes).
4. Market Driven
By embracing the world changes we can get a leg up on the competition. We can hire better people in different geographies. We start to have conversations again (not meetings) and build stronger relationships. In summary - we create a competitive advantage.
5. This is the Way
It’s all about results. We get those results by trusting the team who is working with lots of asynchronous, heads down work, sprinkled with rich conversations to collaborate.
