When should I use a guest code versus a pass or adding a user?
Guests do not have the ability to move around the space on their own. Guest links are best suited for users who will be coming in once or a user where you want to move them around in a more controlled manner.
Pass and named users have the same abilities that are based on permission level. The only difference is when entering on a pass you enter a name and email and named users enter with their email and password. Named users are managed via the admin portion of the application.
